Our inspiration: building up our girls
As an educator and founder of United Girls of Purpose INC, I witnessed firsthand the challenges our young ladies faced. I was tired of seeing them fight and tear each other down, and often, their desire to excel in school seemed to diminish. It became clear that we were losing our children, and I knew I couldn't stand by and do nothing. This observation ignited the passion to create a space where girls in 6th-12th grades could thrive, learn, and grow together.
Nurturing growth and success
Through our tailored programs at United Girls of Purpose INC, we aspire to see significant improvements in the grades and behavior of the girls we mentor. We believe that by fostering an environment of support and encouragement, we can help them develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed academically and personally. Our aim is to guide them towards becoming well-rounded individuals who are prepared for their future endeavors.
Guiding principles: respect and community
At United Girls of Purpose INC, two core principles guide everything we do: respect yourself and others, and remember that we are only as good as the community we live in. These beliefs form the foundation of our mentorship, encouraging girls to value themselves, treat others with kindness, and actively contribute to the well-being of their community in Hammond, Louisiana.
